Zac Efron Supports Dylan on DWTS Semi-Finals

Zac Efron DWTS fans were thrilled to see the star make his first appearance at the Season 34 semi-finals to support his younger brother, Dylan Efron. The High School Musical alum, 38, took to Instagram to urge fans to vote for Dylan, 33, ahead of the Tuesday, November 18 episode.

Zac posted an Instagram Story message:

“Vote for @dylanefron tonight on DWTS! Text ‘Dylan’ to 21523 ten times.”

Fans were delighted when he appeared in the audience alongside their sister Olivia, holding her on his lap. This marked Zac’s first public attendance since the season began.

Dylan, alongside his professional dance partner Daniella Karagach, performed two routines in honor of Prince Night: a tango to “I Would Die 4 U” and a cha-cha to “Kiss.” Reflecting on their hard work in rehearsals, Dylan shared, “I’m a slow learner, but we’ve really worked hard to get here,” hoping to surpass his previous performance.

Zac Efron, Family and Dancing Legacy

When Dylan was announced as a DWTS cast member in September, fans speculated whether Zac would mentor him, given his background in dance. Dylan told Us Weekly that the entire family was excited to watch him compete, noting their dad’s enthusiasm and their mother’s surprise. “My brother is supportive,” Dylan said, reflecting on Zac’s encouragement.

Dylan’s Reflections on Zac’s Influence

Dylan reminisced about attending a DWTS live taping with Zac years ago. He told Us

“He’s like, ‘The best part is going to be those live shows.’ He was saying, like, it’s such a good feeling.”

Despite Zac not attending earlier episodes, Dylan shared with Extra in October that he felt his brother’s support from afar: “Hey, he’s doing his thing. He’s supporting me every day.”

The Traitors alum also highlighted his close bond with Zac, incorporating the song “Rewrite the Stars” from The Greatest Showman into his Dedication Night performance, alongside Daniella Karagach and his sister Olivia.

He said, “Zac’s always taken care of me and he did things that were so selfless. I wanna be that to Olivia, I wanna be the best role model I can.”
